Medicare Advantage is an alternative to Original Medicare. When you enroll in a Medicare Part C plan, your benefits are offered and administered by a private insurance company, who contracts directly with Medicare. As a result, these private insurance companies must comply with all the rules and regulations set by the Medicare program.
